ZTE on Monday launched the Blade S6 Plus smartphone, which will be available in several markets globally via eBay. The ZTE Blade S6, Blade S6 Plus, and Blade S6 Lux sport similar designs.

The ZTE Blade S6 Plus is a variant of the Blade S6 Lux, which so far is only available in China. The handset will be available at $299.99 (approximately Rs. 18,650).

The Chinese company has also announced that the ZTE Blade S6 Plus will be available at a discounted price of $269.99 (approximately Rs. 16,800) for a limited period. The company has listed countries where the Blade S6 Plus will be available: Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Croatia, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Greece, Holland, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Norway, Portugal, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Sweden, and Ukraine.

Unfortunately, the company has not detailed whether the handset will be available in India.

The handset will be also available in France, Italy, Spain, and United Kingdom. It's worth noting that the ZTE Blade S6 Lux was a China-only variant of the ZTE Blade S6, which was launched at an event in Hong Kong in January.

The ZTE Blade S6 Plus features a 5.5-inch HD (720x1080 pixels) JDI display with In-Cell touch technology. It is with the display that the Blade S6 Plus most differs from the Blade S6 Lux, which features a 5.5-inch full-HD display. Meanwhile, the ZTE Blade S6 Plus features the same 3000mAh battery as the ZTE Blade S6 Lux.

It runs Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the-box with ZTE's MiFavor 3.0 UI on top. The Blade S6 Plus is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 (MSM8939) alongside 2GB of RAM.

The dual-SIM (supporting Nano-SIM cards) Blade S6 Plus packs 16GB of built-in storage and supports expandable storage via microSD card. It sports a 13-megapixel autofocus rear camera with a Sony IMX214 sensor and LED flash. There is a 5-megapixel front camera also onboard. Connectivity options on the smartphone include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS/ A-GPS, 4G LTE, and Micro-USB. The smartphone packs proximity, ambient light, accelerometer, compass, and gyroscope sensors.

Commenting on the launch, Adam Zeng, CEO of ZTE Mobile Devices, said, "We are very excited to announce with eBay the global availability of the ZTE Blade S6 Plus. Following the successful launch of the Blade S6, we are now offering our consumers a larger-screen alternative to a device that combines high-end performance and quality at a very competitive price tag."
