Xolo to launch Q800 with 4.5-inch display and quad-core processor
Xolo seems to be on launching spree. The company is all set to launch another quad-core smartphone in the Indian market. As per exclusive information given to NDTV gadgets, this smartphone will be dubbed Xolo Q800.

Xolo Q800 will also sport a 4.5-inch and should be available in the market by second week of March. The other specifications details in regards to the smartphone are sketchy as of now.

The company had recently launched Xolo A1000 which is available in the market for Rs. 13,990.

The smartphone deploys one glass solution (OGS) and is just 8.8 mm thick. It sports a 5-inch 720p IPS display. Internally, the phone is powered by a 1GHz dual-core Mediatek MT6577 processor as seen in the Xolo A700 and Xolo A800.

Other specs on the Xolo A1000 include 1GB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage that can be expandable by up to 32GB via microSD card. There is an 8-megapixel autofocus rear snapper with LED flash, a 1.2-megapixel front camera. The phone is powered by 2,100 mAh battery. The device will support dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) functionality.

Connectivity options on the device include the usual Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, USB and GPRS. It comes pre-installed with the stock Android and Opera Mini web browsers.

Initially Xolo A1000 was launched only in white colour option, but the black variant of this smartphone is now available as well.

Currently other offerings in the Xolo series include the Xolo A700, Xolo A800, Xolo A500, Xolo A1000, Xolo X500 and the Xolo X900. The A series of smartphones consists of smartphone that come with Mediatek processors, while the X series has smartphones that come with Intel processor. It will be interesting to see which processor maker with Xolo suit for its forthcoming Q series of smartphones.

As per the information available to us, Xolo has plans to launch as many as 4 competitively priced quad-core smartphones by the end of April. Looks like the Micromax Canvas HD (Review | Pictures) is going to have a lot of competition soon.
