According to Xolo, the Omega series will be announced via the company's Twitter handle, @MyXOLO on Friday at 12pm IST.
Back in August, Xolo had with similar hype unveiled its Hive UI, which is the company's take on Android, similar to what Chinese companies Oppo and Xiaomi have done with ColorOS and MIUI respectively. The company also unveiled the first smartphone running the Hive UI - the Xolo 8X-1000.
The domestic handset maker last month launched the latest edition in its Opus smartphone series, dubbed the Xolo Opus 3, priced at Rs. 8,499.
The Xolo Opus 3 is a dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) device that runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box. Other specifications include 5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) IPS display; a 1.3GHz quad-core (MediaTek MTK6582M) processor; Mali 400 MP2 GPU; 1GB of RAM; 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash; 5-megapixel front-facing camera; 3G; GPRS/ EDGE; Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n; GPS/ A-GPS; Micro-USB; Bluetooth 4.0, and 2500mAh battery.
Prior to this, the company silently listed the Q710s smartphone with price at Rs. 6,999. The dual-SIM Xolo Q710s runs Android 4.4 KitKat and features a 4.5-inch qHD (540x960 pixels) IPS display, offering a pixel density of 245ppi.
