Xolo has finally released the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for its recently launched Xolo Q1010i smartphone, which came with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
It was last month that Xolo had revealed its plans to release the Android 4.4 KitKat update for its smartphones - Q700S, Q1010i, Q1010, and Q3000 by June.
The update to Xolo Q1010i is rolling-out over-the-air (OTA), or can be manually downloaded from the official Xolo support site.
Before this, the company had released the Android 4.4 KitKat update for its Q1000 Opus, and became one of the first domestic handset makers to announce Android KitKat update for its smartphones.
The Xolo Q1010i was launched by the company in April at a price of Rs. 13,499. The dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) comes with a 5-inch (720x1280 pixels) HD IPS display and offers a pixel density of 294ppi. It also boasts of OGS (One Glass Solution) and Asahi Scratch Resistant Glass.
Much like the Q1010, the Xolo Q1010i is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor with a Mali 400 GPU and 1GB of RAM. The Xolo Q1010i comes with 8GB of inbuilt storage, which is further expandable up to 32GB via microSD.
The Xolo Q1010i sports an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera, the highlight of the device, which features an Exmor R sensor with f/ 2.0 aperture and 5P lens module, alongside a 1.4 micron pixel size for enhanced image quality. It also packs a 2-megapixel front-facing camera.
On the connectivity front, the Xolo Q1010i includes 3G, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth options. The phablet packs a 2250mAh battery which is rated to deliver up to 19 hours of talk time and up to 732 hours of standby time on 2G network.
