Xiaomi India is leaving no stone unturned to promote the 'Global Mi Phone Premiere' on April 23, which is expected to see the launch of either a new Mi smartphone - the Xiaomi Mi 4i - or global launches of the smartphones launched only in China - the Mi Note and Mi Note Pro.

Sharing an image on Facebook, Xiaomi India has tipped the high display resolution of the upcoming device. The image shows two same paintings with the left displaying a blurred, pixelated view, while the right shows a clearer view tipping that the device might feature an impressive pixel density.

The post reads, "Are all screens of the same size the same?" The Facebook post is accompanied by hashtags for 'Mi Launch 2015' and 'i Disagree'. The company also also be tipping the global launch of its Mi Note handsets, which so far have only been launched in China. The Mi Note Pro features a QHD (1440x2560 pixel) display, the first from the company.

The Chinese company as promised earlier is also distributing tickets to its even in New Delhi next week to Mi fans in the country. The Facebook post of Mi India asks interested users to share the post and comment on it to win a chance to win two tickets to the event.

Ahead of the company's next week, leaked certification and benchmark listings tipped innards of a handset dubbed Mi 4i, which appears to be a more affordable variant of the Mi 4 flagship smartphone.

According to leaked benchmark listings, the Mi 4i will run Android 5.0.2 Lollipop with possibly a new version of MIUI. It will be powered by a 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor clocked at 1.65GHz and coupled with 2GB of RAM.

Comparing preliminary leaked specifications to the Mi 4, the Mi 4i seems to be a 'lite' variant of the original version that is powered by a 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 SoC with 3GB of RAM.

The tipped specifications match those of a previously leaked Xiaomi handset codenamed 'Ferrari', which was earlier spotted on benchmark listings with a 4.9-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) display, Adreno 405 GPU, 12-megapixel rear camera, 4.8-megapixel front camera, and 16GB of built-in storage.

Xiaomi's 2014 flagship smartphone, the Mi 4, on Thursday received its first price cut in India, making the smartphone Rs. 2,000 cheaper than its launch price.

Xiaomi India has already confirmed that the global premier of Xiaomi will see CEO and Founder Lei Jun, President and Co-Founder Lin Bin, and VP Xiaomi Global Hugo Barra, in attendance.
