MIUI 10 China Developer ROM is now available for the second round of devices. The list includes many popular Xiaomi models, such as the Redmi Note 4X Qualcomm version, Redmi 5A, Mi Note 3, Mi Max 2, Mi 5c, Mi 4S, Mi 4C, Redmi 5, and Redmi 5 Plus. Earlier this month, Xiaomi opened the window for the registrations of the MIUI 10 China Developer ROM closed beta version that was closed on July 12. The Chinese company launched the new MIUI version last month and brought its worldwide offering in the form of MIUI 10 Global ROM a week after its China launch.
Xiaomi through a Weibo post announced the second batch of its devices that are now receiving the MIUI 10 China Developer ROM. The list of devices includes as many as 17 models, including the Mi Note 3, Mi 5s Plus, Mi 5s, Mi 5X, Mi 5c, Mi 4C, Mi 4S, Mi Max, Mi Max Prime, Mi Max 2, Redmi Note 5A, Redmi Note 5A Prime, Redmi Note 4X Qualcomm Edition, Redmi 5 Plus, Redmi 5, Redmi 5A, and Redmi 4X. Users who have the eligible device a previous MIUI beta ROM can check for the latest MIUI 10 China Developer ROM by going to Settings > About phone > System updates > Check for updates. The 'Updater' app can also be used to check for the update. Alternatively, if you are using MIUI 6/ MIUI 7/ MIUI 8 stable ROM, you can upgrade to MIUI 10 via the fastboot method and download the ROM manually by visiting the Download page on the MIUI site.
With the fresh development, Xiaomi has brought MIUI 10 Developer ROM in China on 27 models. The company initially added handsets such as the Mi 6, Mi 5, Mi MiX 2S, Mi Mix 3, Mi Mix, Mi Note 2, Redmi S2, and Redmi Note 5.
Unlike the MIUI 10 China Developer ROM that is limited to beta testers in the Chinese market, Xiaomi has also provided MIUI 10 Global Beta ROM with features such as an updated Mi Browser that supports PWA (Progressive Web App) support, AI Portrait feature, and a faster overall experience. The Global ROM is expected to debut publicly through stable builds sometime in September. Meanwhile, it is already available through a beta version for select Xiaomi handsets. It was also last week reported that the MIUI 10 Global Beta ROM had been rolled out for the Mi Pad 4 that was launched in China with MIUI 9 back in late June.
