Last year, Xiaomi launched the Mi Car charger in India and now the company has expanded its car accessories portfolio by launching the Mi Car Charger Basic. The device is already up for sale on Mi India website, and it is listed to support Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging. Just like the previous version, the Mi Car Charger Basic also supports dual USB ports for two phones to be able to simultaneously charged. It is seen to sport a Black exterior, and comes with a cylindrical design - synonymous to how most car chargers out there look like.

The Xiaomi Mi Car Charger Basic price in India is listed at Rs. 599, but is currently available on the Mi India website for Rs. 499. The dual port USB car charger allows for two phones to simultaneously charge, but only offers Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging in one port. The QC port has been coloured red for defining the difference, and it allows up to 18W fast charging. The Mi Car Charger Basic is compatible with smartphones and tablets across a wide range of brands including Apple, Samsung, HTC, BlackBerry, and Google among others. It is also compatible with both DC sockets found in cars (12V/24V).

The Mi Car Charger Basic is made of polycarbonate material and is lightweight Xiaomi has also included a Blue LED ring at the edge of the charger, allowing the user to know that the car charger has been inserted properly into the DC socket or not. This light also helps users find the socket in the dark, and clearly differentiate between the fast charging port and the regular charging port.
