Mi A2, expected to be the next-generation Android One smartphone, is one of Xiaomi's highly anticipated handsets of 2018. The Chinese mobile maker has scheduled a global launch event in Spain where it is expected to unveil the global variant of the Mi 6X, as the Mi A2. The date of the previously teased global launch event has now been officially confirmed to be July 24. To recall, the company last year held a global event in New Delhi to launch the Xiaomi Mi A1 Android One smartphone, a rebranded version of the Xiaomi Mi 5X that it had launched a little earlier in China.
As announced via a Mi forum post, Xiaomi has now officially scheduled a global launch event in Madrid, Spain on July 24. Xiaomi has also invited Mi fans to the event. Interested people can register to attend the event from the company site. Notably, the last date to fill the registration forms is July 18, 2018. The company will select some of the fans on the list, who will then be asked to attend the unveiling. The invite does not reveal the name of the smartphone, nor does it inform other details. We believe that in the coming days, the company could reveal further information about the launch.
