Redmi Note 4 and Redmi 4, the popular Xiaomi phones will now be selling in the Big Bazaar stores near you. Xiaomi has announced a partnership with the Future Group-owned large format chain to sell its popular handsets offline during the ongoing festive season. Redmi Note 4 and Redmi 4 are among the company's popular handsets. Manu Kumar Jain, vice president of Xiaomi, said the company will be making the the Redmi Note 4 and the Redmi 4 at more than 240 stores of Big Bazaar. This is the first time any brand is selling phones at a supermarket chain, Jain tweeted.
At the Big Bazaar, Xiaomi says it will provide customers with a range of offers including no cost EMI for ICICI Bank card holders. The move comes as Xiaomi doubles down its effort to cash in on the Diwali festive season. During Diwali, the festival of light, people tend to spend lavishly.
Xiaomi has had a good run with the recent online sales by Flipkart and Amazon. Last week, the company said it had sold more than one million units in India in just two days. Since entering the country three years ago, Xiaomi has sold more than 10 million units in the country.
When the company entered India, it focused on selling phones online. But in the past two years, the company has been aggressively expanding its logistics in the offline market and partnering with large brick and mortar stores.
Xiaomi has partnered with several retail chains such as Croma, Vijay Sales, and Sangeetha to extend the reach of the company's products. The company said it plans to bring its products to 1,500 retail stores in 30 cities by the end of the year. The company is also partnering with small stores and has also opened a handful of its flagship stores - Mi Home - where it sells all of its products.
