Vivo Z1 Pro India launch event began with Vivo India's Nipun Marya on stage, who talked about how the new Z1 Pro marks a new beginning for the company in India. He also shared details about the company's smartphone shipments in India and worldwide. According to Marya, Vivo is India's fastest growing smartphone brand and 5 crore people are currently using Vivo phones in the country.  Marya then recapped the company's various innovations, including the pop-up selfie camera, in-display fingerprint sensor, and 120W fast charging technology.

He noted that Vivo is continuing this trend with the launch of Vivo Z1 Pro in India today, which is the country's first smartphone with Snapdragon 712 SoC. Marya added that the Vivo's Z-series is targeted at Generation Z users and it has been developed keeping in mind these consumers. He then invited Vivo India's Shankar Singh Chauhan on stage to detail the Z1 Pro. 

According to Chauhan, Z1 Pro represents Vivo's commitment to Gen-Z and it is a fully loaded smartphone. He said the Vivo is the company's first smartphone with an in-display camera (hole-punch). The phone packs a 6.53-inch screen with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and full-HD+ screen. The Vivo Z1 Pro features a 3D Curved Design and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 SoC.  Chauhan then invited Qualcomm's Sachin Kalantri to talk about the Snapdragon 712 SoC. 

According to Kalantri, the new SoC is based on 10nm manufacturing process and includes eight Kryo 360 CPU cores clocked at up to 2.3GHz and Adreno 616 GPU. 

Chauhan then came back to the stage to talk about Vivo's new Multi Turbo technology, which includes Center Turbo, AI Turbo, Net Turbo, Cooling Turbo, and Game Turbo features, to improve the performance on the smartphone. He added that Z1 Pro also includes Ultimate Game Mode, which brings voice changer, sound-localisation training center, 4D game vibrations, do not disturb, and blue light filter for an amazing gaming experience. 

The Vivo executive then revealed that the Vivo Z1 Pro comes with a massive 5,000mAh battery, which is said to provide 7.5 hours of PUBG gaming. The battery supports 18W fast charging and reverse charging. 

On the imaging front, Vivo Z1 Pro is arriving with a triple rear camera setup, which houses a 16-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.78 lens, an 8-megapixel super wide-angle shooter, and a 2-megapixel depth shooter. There will also be a 32-megapixel selfie shooter onboard.

In terms of other tweaks, the Vivo Z1 Pro packs a new user interface with dark mode, an AI button for Google Assistant, and Widevine L1 certification.

The phone will be offered in three colours - Sonic Blue, Mirror Black, and Sonic Black. Chauhan then called Flipkart's Ajay Veer Yadav to talk about the e-retailer's partnership with Vivo. Vivo then invited popular YouTubers - Bhuvan Bam and Ashish Chanchlani - on the stage to unbox the new Z1 Pro. 

Finally, coming to the price, the Vivo Z1 Pro will be sold starting at Rs. 14,990 in the country. The phone will be offered in three storage variants - 4GB + 64GB, 6GB + 64GB, and 6GB + 128GB. Vivo Z1 Pro will first go on sale on July 11 in the country via Flipkart and Vivo website. The prices for 6GB + 64GB and 6GB + 128GB variants are Rs. 16,990 and Rs. 17,990, respectively. 

In terms of the launch offers, the Z1 Pro buyers will get Rs. 750 discount on Flipkart if they use ICICI credit or debit cards for payment. Additionally, the buyers will get benefits worth Rs. 6,000 for Reliance Jio.
