Vivo X27 key specifications have been announced officially just days ahead of its formal launch that is scheduled in China for March 19. Vivo on Wednesday posted a couple of teasers on Weibo to confirm the camera, storage, and battery of the upcoming phone. Separately, a listing on TENAA surfaced with model number V1838A that is believed to detail the specifications of an inferior Vivo X27 version. The phone is even rumoured to come in at least three variants, including a version with the moniker Vivo X27 Pro.
Among other developments, Vivo on Wednesday posted a couple of teaser images that confirmed the key specifications of the X27. One of the images highlights that the Vivo X27 will come with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage. It also reveals the presence of a 4,000mAh battery. The phone is also rumoured to have 22.5W fast charging support through a built-in USB Type-C port.
The other teaser image on Weibo reveals the presence of a 48-megapixel primary sensor on the triple rear camera setup. The sensor is expected to be the Sony IMX586. Furthermore, the teaser shows off features such as a wide-angle mode and a night view mode. The phone may have a wide-angle lens to support the new features.
Alongside the teasers posted on Weibo, a TENAA listing has surfaced that presumably details the specifications of the low-end Vivo X27 version. The TENAA listing, which is pertaining to the handset carrying model number Vivo V1838A, points to a 6.3-inch AMOLED display with full-HD+ (1080x2340 pixels) resolution. The phone is also apparently powered by a 2.0GHz octa-core processor that could be the Snapdragon 710 SoC, if we believe some ongoing rumours.
Importantly, a Vivo phone with model number V1829T was spotted on TENAA last week. That could be the regular Vivo X27 model since the new model has inferior specifications.
The Vivo V1838A is also found to have a 3,920mAh battery, which could have a 4,000mAh of typical capacity. The phone also runs Android 9 Pie. Furthermore, there are also two configurations with 6GB RAM/ 128GB storage and 8GB RAM/ 256GB storage.
While Vivo hasn't revealed any details around the multiple variants of the X27, a tipster on Weibo has claimed that at least three variants of the new phone could enter the market. The trio will have a model called X27 Pro.
The screenshot detailing the three X27 variants, courtesy SlashLeaks, suggests that the Vivo X27 Pro will come with a 6.7-inch display along with a 20.5:9 aspect ratio. It is also rumoured to have a Snapdragon 710 SoC, along with 8GB RAM/ 256GB storage option. The phone is also found to have a 32-megapixel selfie camera and "night vision camera" sensor at the triple rear camera setup that also includes a 48-megapixel primary sensor and a 13-megapixel secondary sensor.
The lower end variants of the Vivo X27, on the other hand, would come with a 6.39-inch display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 8GB RAM, triple rear camera setup with a combination of 48-megapixel, 13-megapixel, and 5-megapixel sensors as well as a 16-megapixel selfie camera. The phones also have a 4,000mAh battery.
The screenshot highlights that the Vivo X27 8GB RAM/ 128GB storage variant has 18W charging support, whereas its 256GB storage model comes with 22.5W charging. The SlashLeaks page also claims that the Vivo X27 Pro won't debut until April 12, though the regular X27 models are likely to arrive next week.
A tipster on Weibo separately leaked an image showing the dual selfie pop-up camera setup on the Vivo X27 Pro. The image also shows a triple rear camera setup.
The tipster has also leaked price details of the Vivo X27 and X27 Pro. He mentions that the Vivo X27 with a Snapdragon 710 SoC, 16-megapixel pop-up selfie camera, 8GB RAM/ 256GB storage will come at CNY 3,598 (roughly Rs. 37,300), while its lower-end model with a Snapdragon 675 SoC and 8GB RAM/ 128GB storage option will be priced at CNY 3,298 (roughly Rs. 34,200).
The Vivo X27 Pro, on the other hand, is said to come with a Snapdragon 710 SoC, 32-megapixel selfie camera on a dual camera module, and 8GB RAM/ 256GB storage at CNY 3,998 (roughly Rs. 41,500).
To recall, the Vivo X27 is set to debut in China on March 19. Registrations for the phone are already live in the country.
