The Vivo V5 Plus has undergone a fresh price cut six months after it was launched in India. Originally priced at Rs. 27,980, the Vivo V5 Plus had its first price cut in April with the launch of the the Vivo V5 Plus IPL Limited Edition, bringing the price down to Rs. 25,990. Now, both the variants can be found for as low as Rs. 22,990 on Flipkart and Amazon. Vivo has confirmed the Rs. 3,000 price cut for the Vivo V5 Plus in India.
To recall, the Vivo V5 Plus is a dual-SIM smartphone that runs the company's Funtouch OS 3.0, based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It sports a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) display and is powered by a 2.0GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM.
One of the biggest highlights of the Vivo V5 Plus is its dual front camera setup. It sports a 20-megapixel camera with the Sony IMX376 1/2.78-inch sensor, an f/2.0 aperture, and a 5P lens system, and an 8-megapixel camera next to it that's meant to capture depth-of-field information. On the rear, Vivo V5 Plus bears a 16-megapixel sensor with LED flash. In our review of the smartphone, we found the bokeh effect captured by the front camera pretty satisfying, and the 20-megapixel camera managed to get capture detailed selfies, even under low-light conditions.
The Vivo V5 Plus features 64GB of inbuilt storage that's non-expandable. It packs a 3055mAh battery, measures 152.8x74.00x7.26 mm and weighs 158.6 grams. Connectivity options on board include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS, to name a few.
