Vivo had unveiled the Vivo Nex Dual Display smartphone last month, and now the company seems to planning to introduce a new variant of the phone. The new version, which will pack 8GB of RAM, has been spotted on the Chinese regulator TENAA's website. Although the TENAA listing doesn't include any images for the Vivo Nex Dual Display 8GB RAM variant, we presume it will look identical to the original 10GB RAM option. The USP of the Vivo Nex Dual Display, which is currently only in China, is its dual screens and triple rear cameras. The 8GB RAM variant of the Vivo Nex Dual Display is expected to pack a 3,425mAh battery. Additionally, the phone will come with a secondary 5.49-inch display and run on Android Pie, same as the original model.
Two Vivo Nex Dual Display models with numbers V1820A and V1820T have been sighted on the TENAA website. Both models come with two displays and are seen sporting identical specifications. As per the TENAA listings, the Vivo Nex Dual Display 8GB RAM option will run on Android Pie, come with one 5.49-inch (1080x1920 pixels) OLED display and another main 6.39-inch (1080x2340 pixels) AMOLED display. The listings also reveal that the new variant will be powered by a 2.2GHz octa-core processor, paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The exact make of the processor is a mystery at this point.
The listings suggest that the Vivo Nex Dual Display will sport three rear cameras, like the 10GB RAM variant, but the exact sensor details are unclear right now. The phone is also listed to sport an in-display fingerprint sensor, and include a 3,425mAh battery. The measurements of the phone will be 157.19x75.3x8.09mm, and it will weigh 200.19 grams. It is expected to be offered in Gold colour, but more colour options could be available at launch. Sensors on board are tipped to include gravity sensor, distance sensor, light sensor, and the smartphone will support fast charging as well.
The specifications are almost identical to that of the 10GB RAM version; except that maybe it will sport a different processor, a slightly smaller battery, and the camera specifics could be slightly different as well. The Vivo Nex Dual Display 10GB RAM variant comes with a 12-megapixel primary sensor with OIS (f/1.79 aperture), a 2-megapixel secondary night vision sensor (f/1.8 aperture), and a third TOF 3D stereo camera sensor.
To recall, the Vivo Nex Dual Display Edition price is set at CNY 4,998 (roughly Rs. 52,300) in the Chinese market for the lone 10GB RAM + 128GB storage model.
