The new Stellar-series smartphone sports dual-front speakers and comes with Analog TV capability that allows the device to access terrestrial TV channels off the air without any hardware add-ons.
The Spice Stellar 440 is a dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) device which runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box. It comes with a 4-inch (480x800 pixels) WVGA TFT LCD display.
The smartphone is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor coupled with 512MB of RAM. The Spice Stellar 440 comes with 4GB of inbuilt storage, which is further expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB). It sports a 3.2-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, while there is a secondary 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera also onboard.
On the connectivity front, the Spice Stellar 440 offers GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, Bluetooth and 3G (on both SIMs) options.
The smartphone packs a 1400mAh battery that is rated to deliver up to 4 hours talk time and up to 144 hours of standby time on 2G network. It measures 127.6x63.8x11.5mm and is listed in Grey colour.
Spice earlier this month launched a variant of its Dream Uno Android One smartphone, called the Dream Uno H, which comes with complete Hindi language support. Launched at a market operating price (MOP) of Rs. 6,499, the Dream Uno H has been developed focusing on the significant Hindi speaking population in the country.
The Spice Dream Uno H features a complete Hindi keyboard along with voice input and Hindi app versions of the popular Google services such as Chrome, Search, YouTube and Google Maps among other apps.
