Sony has announced that Xperia P, Xperia go and Xperia E dual smartphones will start getting the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update this week. Sony notes that the rollout is a phased process and will ramp up over this month and next, so exact availability may vary from one region to the other.
Sony also mentioned that Xperia S, Xperia SL, Xperia ion and Xperia acro S are "are next in line" and will receive the Jelly Bean update "from the end of May."
Sony had announced the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update roll out plan for all its smartphones back in December last year. Based on the original plan, Sony has been almost a month late in rolling out the update for Xperia P and Xperia go, as the original plan was for the phones to get the update "from the end of March."
However, Sony did release the Jelly Bean update for Xperia T and Android 4.1 update for Xperia J ahead of schedule.
Change log of the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for Xperia P, Xperia go and Xperia E dual as shared by Sony is included below.
