It's no secret that Sony is planning to launch multiple devices this year as part of its Xperia family. The Xperia Z and ZL smartphones are already out and the company is reportedly working on the Sony Xperia SP (C530X) and Xperia V, the Xperia L (210X), a C680X device and more recently spotted Xperia C670X.

Of these, the Xperia L or the C210X, currently codenamed TaoShan, has now been spotted by the Xperia blog offering more detailed specs. According to previous leaks, we already know that it is rumoured to be an entry-level smartphone and feature a 1GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor. Now further specs reveal that the device will supposedly come with a 4.3-inch 480×854 touchscreen an 8-megapixel Exmor RS camera, 8 GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, and a 1,700 mAh battery.

It will apparently have Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean pre-installed. Its dimensions are 128.7x65x9.7 mm and the model number indicated by the blog is C210X (C2104, C2105, and S36h will all be different versions of the Xperia L for different regions and carriers).

All the other devices have appeared in past leaks. The Xperia C680X, appeared on the HTML5 Test website, that benchmarks a browser's compatibility with the HTML5 standards, revealing that the C6802X runs Android 4.2 and features a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels but the screen-size wasn't clear.

The more recently leaked Xperia C670X is expected to sport a 4.8-inch screen featuring a resolution of 1080 X 1920 pixels. It will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor with a clock speed of 1.8GHz and an Adreno 320 graphics chip, and will have 2GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage.

The phone is likely to sport a 13-megapixel Exmos RS camera and will run Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. The render of the phone indicates that there would be no buttons and that the placement of the earpiece and the front camera as well as the sensors would be similar to that of the Xperia Z. But there's no way to verify the credibility of the render.

The Xperia SP and Xperia V were spotted in a set of image leaks indicating that the Sony Xperia SP will have a slightly larger 4.5-inch display than that of Sony Xperia V, which comes with a 4.3-inch display. Sony Xperia SP will be a mid-range smartphone which will have 1.7GHz dual-core Qualcomm SnapDragon and a 720p display. The smartphone will also support LTE.

Rather that clarifying the naming convention for its devices, the company is only increasing the confusion further. Unlike Samsung, which has two main flagship devices each year one as past of the Galaxy S series and the other in the Note series, Sony has more or less identical flagships with minor differences and priced differently.

From the looks of it the C680X and the C670X seem to be related to each other in some way. For now, we're guessing Sony might be focusing on the clock speed, RAM and/ or battery. We hope the mystery is unveiled soon.
