While Sony did not announce the wireless charging feature while launching the Xperia Z2 smartphone at MWC, it has now unveiled the wireless charging solution for it.
Sony's wireless charging kit includes two components, namely Sony Wireless Charging Cover WCR12 and Sony Wireless Charging Plate WCH10. While the Wireless Charging Cover WCR12 is a Qi certified cover case for the smartphone, the Wireless Charging Plate WCH10 acts as the base on which the Xperia Z2 (Review | Pictures) with the cover can be kept and charged.

The Japanese giant notes that since the Sony Wireless Charging Cover WCR12 for Xperia Z2 is compatible with the Qi wireless charging standard, it can be clubbed with any other Qi-enabled wireless charger and not only the Sony's Wireless Charging Plate WCH10.
Sony, on its official website for both the Wireless Charging Cover WCR12 and Wireless Charging Plate WCH10 has not mentioned the price or the availability. The two accessories were spotted on UK's Clove online retailer (via Android Central) selling both the charging cover and the charging plate for GBP 58.32 (roughly Rs. 5,700) and GBP 45.83 (roughly Rs. 4,500) respectively.
