Samsung seems all set to introduce its next-generation of Exynos chipsets on Thursday, with the company teasing an Exynos product on Twitter.

The official Samsung Exynos Twitter handle has posted an image that shows a hashtag for Exynos Tomorrow (#ExynosTomorrow), suggesting that the South Korean manufacturer might reveal a new Exynos chipset on Thursday. However, the company has not detailed anything about the upcoming new chipset.

The tweet said, "Tomorrow we have something new and exciting to show you. Stay tuned!", accompanied by hashtag Exynos Tomorrow.

The unveiling of the new chipset by Samsung might kick-start a new debate on whether the rumoured Galaxy Note 4 will be powered by the same processor. An alleged Galaxy Note 4 smartphone was recently spotted with 5.7-inch QHD display.

Also expected, is that the new Exynos chipset will be a 64-bit offering, to take on the Apple A7 SoC  introduced on the iPhone 5s, and the upcoming Apple A8 on the next generation iPhone. The South Korean giant had promised its next Galaxy flagship would be feature a 64-bit processor right after the launch of the iPhone 5s in September, however, the February launch of the Galaxy S5 (Review | Pictures) did not bring any such revelations.

Earlier this year, Samsung unveiled two new Exynos processors - the Exynos 5422 (octa-core) and the Exynos 5 Hexa (the new hexa-core family, starting with Exynos 5260).

In addition, two new unnamed Samsung handsets with model number SM-G5308W and SM-G8508S have been spotted in benchmarks. The GFXbench listing of the alleged Samsung SM-G8508S indicates that the handset features a 4.7-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) display; Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset; Adreno 330 GPU; 2GB of RAM; 16GB inbuilt storage (12GB user-accessible); 11-megapixel rear camera; 2-megapixel front camera, and runs Android 4.4.4 KitKat. Rumoured connectivity options on the alleged SM-G8508S include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, and NFC.

The SM-G5308W, on the other hand, is listed with a 5-inch qHD (540x960 pixels) display. Other specifications include Adreno 306 GPU; Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 (a 64-bit processor); 1GB of RAM; 8GB inbuilt storage; 8-megapixel rear camera; 2-megapixel front camera, and Android 4.4.4 KitKat.
