Galaxy Y CDMA will join company's already available Galaxy Y, and Galaxy Y Duos smartphones in the country. It comes with a 3-inch display with 320x240p resolution, 600MHz processor, 2MP camera and Android 2.3.
Despite the huge number of CDMA subscribers in the country, we haven't seen many CDMA Android launches. Apart from odd models from MTS and Reliance, there aren't any good CDMA Android smartphones in India.
As CDMA phones are traditionally sold via the telecom operators directly, the manufacturers can't really be blamed for the lack of options. Many popular smartphones come with equivalent CDMA versions, and it is up to the telcos to partner with manufacturers to launch them in the country.
