Samsung has launched the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy A8 Enterprise Edition models in Germany. The new smartphones are specifically designed to offer a "business-first" experience. The latest development comes months after the South Korean company launched the Galaxy Note 8 Enterprise Edition. While the Galaxy S9 Enterprise Edition will go on sale in Germany starting April at EUR 849 (approximately Rs. 68,100), the Galaxy A8 Enterprise Edition is already available for purchase in the country at EUR 499 (roughly Rs. 40,000). Both come with two years of manufacturer warranty.

To attract corporate customers, Samsung is delivering the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy A8 Enterprise Edition with three-year licenses for Knox Configure (Dynamic Edition) and Enterprise Firmware Over-the-Air (E-FOTA) service. The availability of Knox Configure will help IT administrators to remotely configure the mobile devices and create appropriate configuration profiles in advance with appropriate settings and restrictions using a dedicated web console. Notably, companies can leverage the enterprise-focused feature to integrate their logos and business apps and automatically prepare devices for their employees for specific business operations. The E-FOTA service, on the other, offers firmware updates that can be selectively installed on many devices simultaneously through a compatible Mobile Device Management (MDM) system. Administrators can also test pre-deployment updates and schedule new software updates.

The Samsung Galaxy S9 Enterprise Edition comes with security updates for a total of four years, with the monthly rollout of updates for the first three years and quarterly for the fourth year. Contrarily, the Galaxy A8 Enterprise Edition will receive monthly security updates for three years.

Apart from the business-focused features, the specifications of the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy A8 Enterprise Edition models are identical to their original versions. The Galaxy S9 Enterprise Edition features a 5.8-inch QHD+ Curved Super AMOLED display with 18.5:9 aspect ratio, octa-core SoC, 4GB of RAM, 3000mAh battery, and a Super Speed Dual Pixel 12-megapixel autofocus f/1.5-f/2.4 camera sensor with OIS support. The handset also has an 8-megapixel front camera sensor with autofocus front camera - sporting f/1.7 aperture lens.

The Galaxy A8 Enterprise Edition, on the other side, has a 5.6-inch full-HD+ (1080x2220 pixels) Super AMOLED display with 18.5:9 aspect ratio, 2.2GHz hexa-core SoC, 4GB of RAM, 16-megapixel rear camera sensor with an f/1.7 lens, dual front camera setup with 16-megapixel and 8-megapixel camera sensors, and 3000mAh battery.
