While Samsung's Pre-MWC 2015 event is right at our doorsteps, the leaks and rumours refuse to end for the two smartphones expected - the Galaxy S6. This time, several rendered images of Galaxy S6 Edge have surfaced, giving us a clear idea of how the handset will probably look. The images show a handset design that's in-line with other image leaks in the past week.
The images gathered by French website Nowhereelse (via GSM Arena), show the smartphone in question from all possible angles. A black metal frame wrapping around the display can be seen, as well as a protruding camera that seems to stick out more from the body than what we have seen on the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
The leaked Galaxy S6 Edge images have the iconic physical home button protruding from the handset, indicating improved functions for fingerprint reader that's rumoured to be the non-swipe kind. A power button is seen on the right edge, and discrete volume buttons on the left.
The images showing the black colour variant of the Galaxy S6 Edge, also suggest the bottom side to include the Micro-USB port and 3.5mm audio jack along with a speaker grill. The top appears to feature a mic along with a larger, oblong hole or sensor in the centre. The images are very much in line with the leaked promotion poster of both the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge by Sprint. AT&T and T-Mobile, along with Sprint, also opened pre-registeration pages for the handsets on their websites, with another teaser image of the Galaxy S6 Edge from the side.
Previous leaks have tipped the Samsung Galaxy S6 is likely to feature a 5 or 5.1-inch QHD Super Amoled display; run Android 5.0.2 Lollipop; octa-core Exynos 7420 processor; 3GB of RAM; a 20-megapixel camera with OIS (optical image stabilisation); 5-megapixel front-facing camera, and a 2600mAh battery with fast charging features.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge are due to launch at the company's Galaxy Unpacked 2015 event ahead of MWC 2015 on Sunday, scheduled to start at 11pm IST.
