Although Samsung has yet not revealed the pricing for its latest flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S5, the South Korean giant is all set with more than $500 worth of freebies to entice potential consumers.

Samsung is offering limited free subscriptions to various premium services, paid apps, and cloud storage space, with the aim the make the Galaxy S5 experience more attractive to the future owners of the smartphone.

On its official Galaxy Gifts webpage for the Galaxy S5, Samsung has put up the list of the free apps and subscriptions which will be offered to owners. The list mainly includes cloud computing apps, news apps and fitness-centric apps for their health focused Galaxy S5 with heart rate monitor. Free subscription to the Wall Street Journal for 6 months - worth $160; a 12-month subscription to Bloomberg Businessweek worth $30, and a total of 1.5TB of cloud storage from Box and Bitcasa, are some of the interesting freebies promised to Galaxy S5 owners.

The Galaxy S5 will launch in 150 countries, starting from 11 April 2014. The pricing is not yet revealed but the few reports suggest that the company might price the Galaxy S5 lower than the Galaxy S4. The Galaxy S5 was however listed for pre-order on Clove UK and registration on Amazon Spain online retailers last week, with prices of GBP 550 (roughly Rs. 56,900) and EUR 729 (roughly Rs. 62,200), respectively.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 will ship with Android 4.4.2 KitKat. It features a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display with a 1080x1920 pixel full-HD resolution. It is powered by a 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 (MSM8974AC) processor, coupled with 2GB of RAM. The Galaxy S5 will be available in 16GB and 32GB variants, with microSD card expandability up to 64GB.

The Galaxy S5 bears a 16-megapixel rear camera with HDR (for video as well), and a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera. The rear camera can record UHD video @30 fps along with HDR and video stabilization functionality.

The smartphone weighs in at 145 grams (slightly heavier than the Galaxy S4), and has dimensions of 142x72.5x8.1mm (slightly thicker than the S4's 7.9mm).
