All eyes are on the upcoming Galaxy S IV launch. But looks like the Galaxy S III is craving attention and the Korean manufacturer is going to give it some.

Unwired View reports via popular Russian insider Eldar Murtazin that the Galaxy S III will launch as a refreshed model with certain modifications. It will have a better display, a bigger 2,400mAh battery and wireless charging support. Details regarding display weren't mention, thereby leaving consumers open ended.

According to the report, wireless charging will come built-in and there will be no need for a separate kit. The Galaxy S IV, however, is also rumoured to support wireless charging but minus the in-built integration. The company is likely to sell the charger and a backplate which is required to enable wireless charging separately. It's unclear if Samsung will be upgrading other specs like the processor, RAM, camera or updating the Jelly Bean OS to version 4.2.

Samsung launched the Galaxy S III in India back in May last year for a MRP of Rs. 43,180. The device received a price cut last month and was retailing for Rs. 34,990. Now, the 16GB Marble White, Pebble Blue and Garnet Red versions are retailing for Rs. 30, 945 on Flipkart.

The phone comes with a 4.8-inch display and is powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core processor alongside 1GB of RAM. It features a 8-megapixel rear camera as well as a 1.9-megapixel front camera. The phone shipped with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich but has since received the Jelly Bean update.

This isn't the first time Samsung is introducing a better model of a previously launched smartphone. The company did the same with the Galaxy S series, especially the the original Galaxy S that got upgraded to the Galaxy S Plus or the Galaxy S Advance. The Galaxy S II recently got a fresh version in the form of the Galaxy S II Plus.

The Galaxy S IV that has been a subject of infinite leaks in the past, will be unveiled on March 14 at Times Square, New York. The company has been posting teaser videos and a first teaser image was also made public which gave a first real look at the device.

Some rumoured features that will be a first for the device include Smart Scroll and Smart Pause, floating touch technology, new green PHOLED display and the Photosphere-like Samsung Orb. It is also expected have 6 variants in Black and White colour options.

Amongst these, the Galaxy S III may also be receiving Smart Scroll and Smart Pause features according to some leaked screenshots pertaining to an Android 4.2.1 firmware. An Android 4.2 test firmware for the Galaxy S III had leaked in February but there was no mention of these features.
