While Samsung has already started sending invites for the Unpacked 2014 Episode 2 event on September 3, where it is expected to unveil the Galaxy Note 4, another report citing a Samsung insider claims that the anticipated phablet will hit store shelves as early as September 15.

According to a report by Android Authority, Samsung has notified its employees about the 'black-out periods for time-off ', from September 3 to 5 and September 15 to 28. The report also posted an alleged Samsung product announcement memo suggesting the same dates being communicated to employees by Samsung Mobile USA. It seems that Samsung wants to roll-out the device as early as possible after launching it on September 3.

The South Korean giant announced that the event expected to launch the Galaxy Note 4 will take place simultaneously in three cities - Berlin, Beijing and New York. The invitation to the Unpacked 2014 event features the Air Command menu, a stylus-based UI that debuted alongside the Galaxy Note 3 (Review | Pictures) last year, accompanied by the tagline, "Ready? Note the date."

Along with the anticipated Galaxy Note 4, Samsung is also expected to launch a new wearable device called Galaxy Solo or Gear 2 Solo at the same event. Previously, the alleged Gear 2 Solo smartwatch, codenamed SM-R710, was spotted on Zauba, an import/ export data collection website, with a value of Rs. 12,292.

The rumoured Gear Solo or Gear 2 Solo is expected to be a standalone smartwatch that will be able to make and receive calls without the help of any smartphone, however, it is reported to only work on 3G networks, and will not support LTE without being equipped with a USIM card.
