"Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is for EUR 699. It includes taxes," a Samsung sales representative told PTI at company's branded outlet in Berlin's prominent shopping mall KaDeWe.
At EUR 699, Note 4 has become most expensive smartphone from Samsung's stable. The phone is expected to be available globally in October and is to be launched in a phased manner.
Samsung has sought to make its Galaxy Note series a more premium phone by introducing an optional stylus from renowned pen maker company Mont Blanc. The low-end digital pen model for Galaxy Note 4 is priced at around Rs. 9,600 (EUR 120) and the high end Mont Blanc stylus model is priced at about Rs. 32,800 (EUR 410).
Samsung representatives said that Galaxy Note 4 has lower power consumption and increased battery life of 7.5 percent compared to previous model. The battery capacity in the Galaxy Note 4 is 3220mAh compared to 3200mAh in the Galaxy Note 3.
The phone comes with features that can charge 50 percent of battery in 30 minutes, said the company.
Samsung has introduced a new S Pen snap feature, which allows uses to select a portion of image or text on screen and share it with a contact by simply pasting the selected image or text on email or any other application that allows sharing of image or text.
According to research firm IDC, 301.3 million smartphones were sold globally in April-June 2014, up 25.3 percent from 240.5 million units shipped in the same period last year. Samsung accounted for over 25 percent share.
