Samsung Galaxy Fame duos was announced in February 2013 along with Samsung Galaxy Young. Samsung Galaxy Fame duos comes with 3.5-inch HVGA display, 1GHz processor with 512 MB of RAM. The smartphone also has a 4GB of internal storage, which can be expanded by up to 32GB. It runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) along with a layer of Samsung's TouchWiz Nature UX.
Samsung Galaxy Fame duos is a dual-SIM smartphone that packs in a 1,300 mAh battery, which as per the company delivers 6 hours of talk time and 300 hours of standby time. The smartphone is 11.6 mm thick and weighs 120 grams. This smartphone is likely to compete head-on with the Sony Xperia E duos smartphone.
Samsung had recently launched the Galaxy Young smartphone in India for Rs. 8,010. It is also a dual-SIM smartphone that is powered by a 1GHz processor and has 728 MB RAM. It runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and sports a 3-megapixel camera. With a 3.27-inch display, it is slightly bigger than the Galaxy Star and has a resolution of 320x480 pixels. It comes with 4GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 64GB and has a 1,300mAh battery.
The device comes with the Samsung TouchWiz UI. It supports the Samsung Motion UI and comes pre-loaded with Samsung applications such as ChatOn, S Cloud and Game Hub Lite.
