First spotted by Russian hi-tech.mail site, the Galaxy A5 is likely to be officially dubbed Galaxy A5 Duos LTE (SM-A500), as also seen in a leaked catalogue of the retailer. Additionally, the retailer suggests a price KZT 99,990 (roughly Rs. 33,900) for the Galaxy A5 Duos LTE in Kazakhstan.
The present prices tipped by the retailer contradict an earlier report that suggested the Galaxy A5 would priced between $400 to $450 (roughly Rs. 24,500-27,500).
Some of the other details listed by the retailer include a 5-inch Super Amoled display with a resolution of 720x1280 pixels; a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor; 1GB of RAM; microSD card slot support; NFC and 4G LTE support; a 13-megapixel rear camera, and a 5-megapixel front camera. The retailer also tips that the smartphone will run Android 4.4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box.
The Samsung Galaxy A5 Duos LTE is said to measure 139.3x69.7x6.7mm and weigh 123 grams.
Interestingly, most of the specifications listed by the Kazakhstan retailer are in-line with previous leaks. The battery capacity for the Galaxy A5 earlier tipped was 2330mAh.
A recent report claimed that the anticipated Samsung Galaxy A5, part of the rumoured upcoming Galaxy A series of smartphones, was expected to release 'as soon as November'.
Samsung has for a while been rumoured to be working on the new Galaxy A-series of smartphones, a series expected to include the Samsung Galaxy A3 (SM-A300), Samsung Galaxy A5 (SM-A500), and Samsung Galaxy A7 (SM-A700) - phones that have leaked on multiple occasions in the recent months.
Notably, the rumoured Galaxy A3, is likely to be the cheapest of the rumoured A series line-up, is said to also include LTE support and be priced between $350 and $400 (roughly Rs. 21,000-24,500). The Galaxy A7 is expected to be priced between $450 and $500 (roughly Rs. 24,500-30,500).
On Monday, the Samsung Galaxy A7 was purportedly spotted on the company's website sporting model number SM-A700FD. Reportedly the 'D' in model number SM-A700FD of the Samsung Galaxy A7 denoted that the smartphone would debut with a dual-SIM variant.
