Samsung seems to be in no mood to leave aside an opportunity to fire shots at Apple's first phablet, the iPhone 6 Plus.

The South Korean giant had already taken a dig at Apple last week as the company made its first entry into the big-screen smartphone (or phablet) segment.

In the latest ad for the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, the company stresses that while few companies have started catching on the phablet segment; Samsung was the first one to debut a large-screen smartphone.

The new Galaxy Note 4 ad takes us back to 2011, when the first Galaxy Note was introduced and also shows how some of the media reports that mocked the company's first phablet. Some of the media reports referred the Galaxy Note as "You look like you're talking into a piece of toast" and "Unwieldy beast."

However, the ad stresses that now the notion is not being dismissed by competitors but is now 'imitated'.

Further, the ad also highlights some of the comments from consumers who compare the iPhone 6 Plus with Samsung's Galaxy Note line of devices. One consumer tweeted, "Is it just me or does the new iPhone 6 look like a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (from 2012) - Minus the stylus?"

Samsung's latest ad, titled "Galaxy Note 4 -- Then And Now", can be seen on YouTube.

The company notes, "Samsung Mobile invented the large display genre, but The Next Big Thing is about more than just size. As the rest of the world catches up to the "not everyone wants a tiny screen" thing, the Galaxy Note 4 is more productive, more innovative and more fun than ever."
