Redmi Note 7 will be getting the Night Scene feature in an upcoming software update, revealed the official MIUI Weibo account. The Super Night Scene camera mode was originally added to the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 smartphone last year and has since been added to Xiaomi Mi 8 and Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S smartphones. The Super Night Scene camera mode is similar to Google Pixel's Night Sight mode and allow the users to capture great pictures even in low light conditions. The Redmi Note 7 recently went on sale in China and is expected to reach the Indian shores over the coming weeks.
The official Weibo account of MIUI team on Tuesday posted that the Super Night Scene camera mode will be reaching the Redmi Note 7 users in the coming days. The post also mentioned that the team was currently using the mode on their unit of the Redmi Note 7, indicating that the feature is currently in testing.
The Super Night Scene camera mode was released for the Mi Mix 3 in November last year as a part of a MIUI 10 8.11.7 update. The feature was later released for the Mi 8 and Mi Mix 2S phones as a part of the MIUI 10 8.11.8 update the same month.
The MIUI team has not announced a time-frame for the update, how given the company is already testing the feature, it shouldn't take very long for it to reach general public.
The Redmi Note 7 was unveiled in China last week with a rear dual-camera setup that includes a 48-megapixel sensor. The phone went on sale for the first time on Tuesday. The first batch of the phone was quickly sold out. Redmi is aiming to sell 1 million units of the Redmi Note 7 in January.
