Redmi Note 10S and Redmi Watch have just been launched in India as the latest smartphone and smartwatch offering from Xiaomi. Redmi Note 10S was launched globally back in March while Redmi Watch was launched in China back in November. The Indian variant of the smartwatch comes with a few improvements. Xiaomi has equipped Redmi Note 10S comes with the MediaTek Helio G95 SoC and a quad rear camera setup. Redmi Watch, on the other hand, comes with a 1.4-inch display and weighs just 35 grams.
Redmi Note 10S is priced at Rs. 14,999 for the 6GB + 64GB storage variant and Rs. 15,999 for the 6GB + 128GB storage model. It is offered in three colour options — Deep Sea Blue, Frost White, and Shadow Black.
Redmi Watch is priced at Rs. 3,999 and is offered in three watch case colour options — Black, Blue, and Ivory. There are four strap colours as well — Black, Blue, Ivory, and Olive.
Redmi Note 10S will go on sale in India from May 18, via Amazon India, Mi.com, Mi Home stores, and retail stores. The Redmi Watch will go on sale in India starting May 25, and be available via Flipkart, Mi.com, and Mi Home stores.
The dual-SIM (Nano) Redmi Note 10S runs Android 11 with MIUI 12.5 on top. It features a 6.43-inch full-HD+ (1,080x2,400 pixels) AMOLED display with 1,100 nits peak brightness, 4,500,000:1 contrast ratio, SGS low blue light certification, and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Under the hood, Redmi Note 10S carries the octa-core MediaTek Helio G95 SoC, paired with Mail-G76 MC4 GPU. It comes with up to 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage.
Redmi Note 10S packs a quad rear camera setup that includes a 64-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.79 lens, an 8-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle f/2.2 lens, a 2-megapixel macro shooter with f/2.4 aperture, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with an f/2.4 lens. The phone comes with a 13-megapixel selfie shooter with f/2.45 aperture housed in a centrally located hole-punch cutout.
Connectivity options on Redmi Note 10S include 4G, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, IR Blaster, NFC, 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port. Sensors onboard include ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, accelerometer, and others. There is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner as well.
Redmi Note 10S packs a 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging and Xiaomi provides a fast charger in the box. In terms of dimensions, the phone measures 160.46x74.5x8.29mm and weighs 178.8 grams. Redmi Note 10S is also IP53-certified for dust- and water-resistance. It comes with dual speakers with Hi-Res Audio certification.
Redmi Watch features a 1.4-inch TFT LCD display with 320x320 pixels resolution and 350 nits peak brightness. It has 2.5D curved glass on top and a single button on the right side. It comes with GPS and GLONASS for precise tracking and Bluetooth v5.1 for connectivity. Redmi Watch is 5 ATM water resistant and offers over 200 watch faces. Xiaomi says Redmi Watch can last up to 10 days on a single charge and takes under 2 hours to charge completely.
Sensors onboard Redmi Watch include PPG heart rate sensor, three-axis acceleration sensor, geomagnetic sensor, barometer, gyroscope, and an ambient light sensor. You also get tracking for 11 sports modes including trail running, hiking, walking, indoor cycling, swimming, and more. The smartwatch has several health-related features as well such as all-day heart rate monitoring, sleep detection, guided breathing, target setting, air pressure detection, step counter, and more. Redmi Watch can also be used to get notifications, control music, set alarms, check weather, and more. It weighs just 35 grams.
