The Redmi series has been in the news in recent times thanks to the popular Redmi Note 7 which was launched in China. The Chinese smartphone maker has also been teasing about the imminent India launch of the Redmi Note 7. We have also seen multiple rumours about the Redmi Note 7 Pro but it hasn't been launched yet. The budget focused Redmi 7 also seems to be in the works and might launch in the Chinese market soon as it has received a Compulsory Certification of China (CCC or 3C) certification.

Three model numbers of the Redmi 7 have allegedly received CCC certification on 12th February 2019. This phone was reportedly recently certified by Singapore's IMDA (Info-Communications Media Development Authority) and Taiwan's NCC (National Communications Commission). First spotted by MySmartPrice, the certifications also reveal that all these variants of the alleged Redmi 7 will have a 10W charger in the box.

The certification mentions at three different variants of the Redmi 7 bearing model numbers M1810F6LE, M1810F6LT, and M1810F6LC. Droidshout confirms that these three model numbers belong to the Redmi 7 through the IMDA certification. Apart from the 10W chargers, the certification documents also confirm that it will be a 4G LTE compatible handset.

It is possible that Redmi could launch the Redmi 7 after the launch of the Redmi Note 7 Pro. Since the company already has the 3C certification, it is possible that the smartphone will be launched in China first and they see a global release soon. Other details of the Redmi 7 are unknown at the moment but we can expect it to better its predecessor the Redmi 6.

The Redmi 6 has a 5.45-inch HD+ display with an 18:9 aspect ratio but we can expect the Redmi 7 to sport a notch and a 19:9 aspect ratio. The Redmi 6 was powered by a MediaTek Helio P22 SoC and had 3GB of RAM. It had 32GB and 64GB storage variants as well as a dedicated microSD card slot. The Redmi 7 could sport a more powerful processor.

While Xiaomi does not plan on making Redmi a sub-brand in India like Poco yet, it'll be interesting to see how and when the Redmi 7 series smartphones make it to India.
