Realme 6 series launch presentation began with the company's India CEO Madhav Sheth on the stage. Sheth first apologised for cancelling the launch event because of the coronavirus concerns. He then moved on to the Realme 6 series launch. Sheth called the Realme 6 series as the "biggest series upgrade, ever" for the company. Both phones in the Realme 6 series are being made in India.
According to Sheth, Realme 6 and Realme 6 Pro will be offered both online and offline at the same time. The phones will also reach China, Europe, South-East Asia, and parts of Africa in the coming weeks and months.
Madhav Sheth also revealed Realme Link app for its AIoT productions is now available for download via Google Play Store. The app will allow users to manage Realme smart devices. Sheth noted that the company plans to bring Realme TV to India soon.
Sheth then detailed the Realme 6 series phones. As mentioned, the series includes Realme 6 and Realme 6 Pro phones. According to Sheth, Realme 6 will succeed the Realme 5 Pro, not Realme 5, and Realme 6 Pro will succeed the Realme X.
Realme 6 series will come with a 64-megapixel primary shooter that uses Samsung GW1 image sensor. Additionally, the lineup will feature 90Hz refresh rate display, side-mounted fingerprint sensor, 30W Flash Charge fast charging technology.
Realme 6 will be offered in Comet White and Comet Blue colours. It packs 6.5-inch full-HD+ display and MediaTek Helio G90T processor. Additionally, there is a quad camera setup that is headlined by 64-megapixel main shooter that we already mentioned. The other three cameras include 8-megapixel wide-angle shooter and two 2-megapixel cameras for depth sensing and macro shots. Additionally, there is a 16-megapixel selfie shooter on the front. There is 4,300mAh battery onboard as well.
According to Realme, Realme 6 Pro will be offered in Lightning Blue and Lightning Orange colour options. The phone features a 6.6-inch full-HD+ screen with a dual hole-punch design. The dual selfie camera setup includes a 16-megapixel main shooter and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera. The rear quad camera setup includes a 64-megapixel main shooter, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle shooter, a micro camera, and a 12-megapixel telephoto camera.
Other features of the Realme 6 Pro include Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G SoC, 4,300mAh battery, Super Linear speaker, Dolby Atmos support, and NavIC support.
Both Realme 6 and Realme 6 Pro run Realme UI, based on Android 10.
Realme Band is the company's first smart band. It features a 2.4cm colour screen and will include five dial faces. Realme Band will come with nine sports modes to track daily activities, including Cricket Mode. Other features of the smart band include heart-rate sensor, sleep monitoring support, and smart notifications. The band will show notifications from your paired smartphone.
Realme Band is also IP68 rated for dust and water resistance, and comes with USB Direct Charge support.
Realme Band has been priced at Rs. 1,499. It will be offered via Realme.com. The first sale is scheduled for today at 2pm. It will soon be available via Amazon and offline stores as well. Realme 6 Pro price in India is set starting at Rs. 16,999 for the 6GB + 64GB model. The phone's 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB models will retail at Rs. 17,999 and Rs. 18,999, respectively. It will be offered via Flipkart and Realme.com. The first sale is scheduled for March 13 at 12 noon. The phone will also be sold via offline stores.
Realme 6, on the other hand, will retail starting at Rs.12,999 for the 4GB + 64GB model. The phone's 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB models will retail at Rs. 14,999 and Rs. 15,999. The first sale is scheduled for March 11 at 12 noon. Like Realme 6, the phone will also be offered via Flipkart, Realme.com, and offline stores.
