With CES around the corner, rumours and leaks are an inevitable reality. Here's another one that just might be true. The much rumoured full-HD smartphone from Panasonic has appeared once again and this time the FCC has indicated that the device indeed exists.

Dubbed as the Panasonic P-02E, the smartphone is likely to land on Japanese carrier NTT DoCoMo in the first half of 2013. However, there is no word on the pricing of the device yet.

The smartphone was earlier spotted by a blog that found leaked information about the device from the Log files of the NTT Docomo Server.

Coming to the specs, apart from the 5-inch full-HD display it is expected to feature a 1.5 GHz quad-core APQ8064 Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor and run on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. There is no word yet on camera, RAM and expandable storage options yet.

Connectivity wise, it is likely to include support for Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, LTE, NFC as well. Further it may also have wireless charging support and a mobile TV too.

Other reports suggest that it might be part of the Panasonic Eluga lineup, sporting a sleek design and also being water resistant. It's highly unlikely for the Panasonic P-02E to launch outside of Japan so we wouldn't pin too many hopes on it.
