Panasonic has launched a new smartphone in India, the Eluga Z, priced at Rs. 13,490. The smartphone will become available in the second week of July in Champagne Gold, Ivory White, and Midnight Blue colour variants.
The firm says the highlight of the smartphone is its 'metal blade' design, as well as support for 21 Indian regional languages. The dual-SIM Android 4.4.2 KitKat-based
Panasonic Eluga Z features a 5-inch (720x1280 pixel) Amoled display, and is powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core processor (unspecified chipset) coupled with 2GB of RAM.

The Panasonic Eluga Z sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, and a 5-megapixel front facing camera. It bears 16GB of inbuilt storage that's expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB). The smartphone is powered by a 2050mAh battery that features fast charging support.
The Eluga Z is 141.3x70.6x6.85mm and weighs 120 grams. Connectivity options on the Panasonic Eluga Z include 3G, USB OTG, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n with hotspot and direct functionality, GPS/ A-GPS, and Bluetooth 4.0 with EDR. The smartphone features an ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, e-compass, and accelerometer. It ships with a flip cover, protective case, and screen guard.
