Oppo in September this year launched its R7 Plus handset in India alongside the R7 Lite. The company has now introduced a high-end variant of the phablet for in China.
The smartphone can be booked from the company website for now, with the official launch scheduled for later this month. While the China Unicom version of Oppo R7 Plus high-end variant is priced at CNY 2,999 (roughly Rs. 31,100), the international model will cost CNY 3,299 (roughly Rs. 34,300).
The Oppo R7 Plus high-end variant shares almost the same specifications with that of the R7 Plus. The high-end variant however, features 4GB RAM along with 64GB inbuilt storage as compared to the 3GB RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage found on the R7 Plus. The rest of the specifications remain the same.
The dual-SIM phablet features a fingerprint sensor placed on its rear panel, and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop-based ColorOS 2.1 developed by Oppo. It sports a 6-inch full-HD Amoled display and is backed by a 4100mAh non-removable battery. Inbuilt storage can be expanded via microSD card (up to 128GB) using the hybrid Nano-SIM card slots.
The Oppo R7 Plus is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 MSM8939 (quad-core 1.5GHz Cortex-A53 and quad-core 1GHz Cortex-A53) processor. The China Unicom version packs an octa-core MediaTek MT6795 SoC. It bears a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and Isocell image sensor technology, apart from an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.4 aperture.
The R7 Plus measures 158x82x7.75 mm and weighs 182 grams. It features VOOC flash charging technology, rated to deliver two hours of talk time in five minutes of charging, and charge the handset by 75 percent in 30 minutes.
