Oppo has quietly listed its R1S smartphone on its China store at CNY 2,498, which translates to roughly Rs. 24,500. The official listing notes that pre-orders for the Oppo R1S begin on Friday.

The Oppo R1S runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with the company's custom skin, ColorOS 1.2, on top of it. It features a 5-inch display with a 720x1280 pixel resolution and offers 294ppi pixel density.

Notably, the Oppo R1S is the successor to the Oppo R1. However, while the latter came with a MediaTek chipset, the refreshed version features a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 SoC clocked at 1.6GHz, coupled with the Adreno 305 GPU and 1GB of RAM.

The new R1S smartphone sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and CMOS sensor, while there is a 5-megapixel front-facing camera also onboard. The rear camera on Oppo R1S comes with features such as scene detection, HDR, face-recognition, panorama and geo-tagging.

The smartphone comes with 16GB of inbuilt storage, while there is no word on expandable storage support. The R1S supports Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS, GPRS/EDGE, LTE and 3G connectivity options. The Oppo R1S is backed by a 2410mAh battery, and is available in a White colour variant. The listing was first reported by FoneArena.

Earlier, the Chinese manufacturer announced that its latest flagship, the Find 7, would be launched in India by mid-2014.

Prior to this, Oppo launched the Find 7a, the 'lite' variant of the Find 7, in March.

The Oppo Find 7a comes with a 5.5-inch full-HD IPS display with a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels and offers a pixel density of 403ppi. Much like the Oppo Find 7, the Find 7a runs Color OS 1.2, which is based on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. It is powered by a quad-core 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC alongside 2GB of RAM.
