The Oppo Find X India launch event has started, bringing the bezel-less smartphone with motorised camera a step closer to fans in the country. Rishabh Srivastava, Product Manager, Oppo has taken the stage to highlight the top features of the new Find X smartphone. Oppo is promoting the motorised camera as a major breakthrough for the smartphone industry as a means to get rid of the notch while implementing facial recognition technology. The motorised camera will feature as a ‘pop up’ housing for the front and rear camera modules, something no other smartphone in the market offers at the moment. The 3D 'Stealth Camera' of the Oppo Find X is said to be more accurate than the fingerprint sensor, while its Hide Apps and Private Safe functions ensure security of users' data. It also has the VOOC fast-charging technology, Snapdragon 845 processor, Android Oreo baked in, and support for Android P.
As for the Oppo Find X price in India, buyers will have to shell out Rs. 59,990 for the smartphone. Oppo Find X will be available online and offline - it will be exclusively to Flipkart online, and sales will start online a day ahead of offline availability. Pre-orders on Flipkart will start on July 25. The company also plans to launch the Oppo Find X Automobili Lamborghini Edition in the Indian market, though there is no word on release or price yet.

The dual-SIM (Nano) Oppo Find X runs ColorOS 5.O1 based on Android 8.1 Oreo, and sports a 6.42-inch (1080x2340 pixels) full-HD+ AMOLED display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 93.8 percent screen-to-body ratio, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 845 SoC with Adreno 630 GPU and 8GB of RAM.
As we mentioned, the Oppo Find X sports a motorised camera slider that contains both the front and rear cameras, and rises when needed, including to unlock the smartphone using 3D facial recognition. The company calls its facial scanning tech O-Face Recognition, and like the iPhone X it uses and IR sensor and 15,000 dot projection to better analyse and recognise a face.
The Oppo Find X's rear dual camera setup features a 16-megapixel primary sensor camera with LED flash, OIS and f/2.0 aperture, and a 20-megapixel secondary camera with f/2.2 aperture. It sports a 25-megapixel front camera with f/2.0 aperture. The smartphone packs a 3730mAh battery with VOOC fast charging. Connectivity options include USB-Type C port, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5 LE, and GPS. The Oppo Find X dimensions measure at 156.7x74.3x9.4mm, and it weighs about 186 grams.
