Ahead of its OnePlus 3 unveil, the company has launched its first Exclusive Service Centre (ESC) in India. The first one has opened up in Bengaluru; and New Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, and Chennai to get ESCs by next month.
This is a crucial step by OnePlus, and shows how serious it is for the Indian market. The company claims that this is just the first phase, and more ESCs will follow in due course. These centres will provide customer service, with a promise of '1-hour turnaround time'. It will even continue with its complimentary pickup-drop facility, a service that the company already offers.
Additionally, the ESC will allow users to get a hands on feel the smartphone, before making a buying decision. OnePlus asserts that even though the smartphone will be sold online exclusively, it will give customers a chance to experience the device in these ESCs before heading to Amazon, and making the purchase.
Vikas Agarwal, General Manager, OnePlus India said, "With this launch, we embark on a journey of a renewed commitment to resolve customer issues within an hour. Our promise to our fans is to offer exceptional smartphone experience while complementing it with world-class support and infrastructure. This is yet another step in fulfilling that commitment."
The company's upcoming flagship OnePlus 3 is expected to be unveiled on June 14. OnePlus will make the unveil on a virtual space station, for which it is giving away Loop VR headsets for Rs. 1 on Amazon India from June 3 to June 7. The rumoured specs include a 5.5-inch display, Snapdragon 820 SoC, 4GB RAM, 16-megapxel rear camra, and 8-megapixel fron camera. The company is looking to completely redisgn the OnePlus 3, and is expected to sport a metal design. For the latest tech news and reviews, follow Gadgets 360 on X, Facebook, WhatsApp, Threads and Google News.
