OnePlus 6 is set to be announced no later than the end of Q2 2018, and the Chinese phone maker seems to be gearing up to launch its latest flagship smartphone for the year. A smartphone, rumoured to be a prototype of the OnePlus 6, has been spotted on major benchmarking portals - Geekbench and AnTuTu. Codenamed NS P7819 on both, this handset is said to have performance on par with several other flagships in the market.
According to the Geekbench listing, this smartphone has a single-core score of 2546 and a multi-core score of 8672. On the other hand, the phone gets a score of 263398 on AnTuTu benchmark. Notably, another variant of the OnePlus 6 had leaked, earlier this month, with a higher score of 276510. This could be the top-end variant of the upcoming smartphone.
Talking about specifications; the listings reveal that the smartphone will run Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box. It will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, coupled with 6GB of RAM, 64GB inbuilt storage, and an Adreno 630 GPU. The alleged OnePlus 6 is said to sport a display with 1080x2200 pixels resolution and unknown dimensions.
Earlier this month, a specifications sheet of the OnePlus 6 had surfaced online that suggests the presence of a 6.28-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display, a dual rear camera setup (20-megapixel + 16-megapixel), a 20-megapixel selfie camera, 3450mAh battery, 6GB RAM, and 128GB inbuilt storage.
If previous generations are to be taken as evidence, the OnePlus 6 will resemble the recently launched Oppo R15 in terms of design as well as specifications. The Oppo R15 has a near-bezel-less display with an iPhone X-like notch. The R15 is powered by a MediaTek Helio P20 SoC, which has been paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage.
