The OnePlus 3 was launched in India this week at Rs. 27,999, and at the launch, OnePlus had specified that the Soft Gold colour variant would be made available at a later date. Currently, only the Graphite colour variant is up for grabs. Now, OnePlus Co-Founder Carl Pei has confirmed that the Soft Gold colour variant will be available sometime in the second half of July.
Pei refrained from giving a specific date, but has satiated the curious a little bit by giving a time-frame. A Twitter user tweeted at Pei asking for details on the colour variant, to which Pei replied that it would hit the markets sometime in the latter part of July.
For now, the OnePlus 3 Graphite variant can be brought from Amazon India without the invite system. OnePlus has now officially scrapped the invite system, and has announced that all the future smartphone will be sold invite free. Co-founder Pete Lau also announced recently that the company will focus on only one true flagship, and will not release a follow-up model of the OnePlus X.
