OnePlus has announced a new programme for OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T users that will help ensure the OxygenOS updates it rolls out to users are free of bugs. Called the MP Early Access Program, it is open to just 150 eligible users.
Announced by the company on its forum, the MP Early Access Program is the third community-based pre-release testing programme from OnePlus. Previously, users could apply for the Closed Beta and Open Beta programmes to help the company test OxygenOS updates before it rolls them out to all users.
MP Early Access Program users will receive the OxygenOS release candidate as an OTA, ahead of all users. They will then be expected to provide feedback to the company, with the hopes to "catch any last minute bugs or weird usage/ location errors before the build is given to the masses in the OTA."
Eligibility requirements for the OnePlus MP Early Access Program are similar to the Closed Beta programme, and selected users will have to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) and will have to communicate with the OnePlus team via the Slack messaging service. Requirements include: users will need to be based in the US, EU, or India; be moderate to heavy daily users; have had some kind of testing experience in the past; and be willing to constantly communicate and give feedback with OnePlus in Slack.
Those interested in signing up for the OnePlus MP Early Access Program and those who feel they meet the eligibility requirements can sign up on this Google Forms page.
