The tipster named KJuma shared the details in his Weibo post on Wednesday with an image listing the innards of the OnePlus 2 smartphone. According to the post, the handset will purportedly pack 64GB of built-in storage, will run Android 5.1 Lollipop-based Oxygen OS, and feature a 16-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front camera, and a 3300mAh non-removable battery.
The post claimed that the OnePlus 2 will weigh 166 grams, which is slightly heavier than the 162 grams of OnePlus One. The Weibo post was first reported by Mobipicker.
OnePlus on Wednesday gave out details on the handset's RAM. According to the company, the OnePlus 2 would sport 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM. OnePlus said as compared to LPDDR3, the LPDDR4 RAM would offer double the bandwidth performance on OnePlus 2. Also, LPDDR4 RAM uses a lower operating voltage, decreased from 1.2V to 1.1V.
After the detailing of RAM, what we know about the OnePlus 2 so far is that it will be priced between $322 (roughly Rs. 20,500) and $450 (roughly Rs. 28,500), would feature a fingerprint sensor, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 v2.1 SoC, USB Type-C port, 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM, and most probably, a metal build.
The company has already revealed that its second flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 2, will be launching on July 27 and the announcement will be made at a virtual reality event.
