The Obi Racoon S401 is a dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) device that supports one regular SIM and one Micro-SIM. It runs the Android 4.4.2 KitKat out-of-the-box, and features a 4-inch (480x800 pixels) WVGA TFT display.
The smartphone is powered by a 1GHz dual-core MediaTek (MT6572) processor coupled with 512MB of RAM. It comes with 4GB of inbuilt storage, which is further expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB).
The Racoon S401 sports a 5-megapixel rear fixed-focus camera accompanied by a LED flash, while a 2-megapixel front camera. On the connectivity front, the smartphone offers 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth options.
The smartphone packs a 1500mAh battery, which is rated to deliver up to 6 hours of talk time, and up to 180 hours of standby time. The Obi Racoon S401 measures 126x64.7x10mm, weighs 109 grams and is listed in just White colour.
On Wednesday, Obi listed two new Android smartphones, the Falcon S451 and Fox S453, without revealing their prices or availability details.
In early October, a Mumbai-based retailer had claimed that Obi's Falcon S451 smartphone was available in the market priced at Rs. 7,999. However, the company is yet to officially reveal a price.
Earlier this month, Obi launched the Obi Crane S550 and Obi Leopard S502, priced at Rs. 8,490 and Rs. 7,490 respectively.
