The Obi Hornbill S551, which earlier this week was spotted listed on the company site, has now been listed for purchase by an e-commerce site for Rs. 9,230. Notably, the company has yet to officially announce retail availability or pricing.

Obi Hornbill S551 runs on
Android 4.4.2 KitKat, and sports a 5.5-inch HD (720x1280 pixel) IPS display. The new Obi smartphone is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 SoC coupled with 1GB of RAM.
The Hornbill S551 bears an 13-megapixel autofocus rear camera using Sony's IMX111/ IMX219 sensor with LED flash, and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Some of the camera features included in the handset are HDR, face beautification, multi shot panorama, face detection and more.
The Obi Hornbill S551 It comes with 8GB of built-in storage that's expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB). Connectivity options include GPRS/ EDGE, 3G (both SIM cards), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro-USB, FM radio, GPS/ A-GPS, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
The smartphone notably features a 2200mAh battery, which can offer up to 8 hours of talk time, and 200 hours of standby time. Preloaded apps include Truecaller, Hungama and more. Measuring 156x76.8x7.9mm, the
Obi Hornbill S551 weighs 145 grams. It has been listed as
available in its White colour variant.
Last month, Obi
launched the Racoon S401 and Fox S453 at Rs. 4,190 and Rs. 5,418 respectively, by listing it on e-commerce sites.
Both the handsets support dual-SIM functionality and run on Android 4.4.2 KitKat out-of-the-box. Also, the
Racoon S401 and the
Fox S453 share the same 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera along with 4GB inbuilt storage, which is expandable via a microSD card (upto 32GB). A 1GHz dual-core MediaTek (MT6572) processor powers both the handsets.
