HMD Global began 2017 with a bang, bringing back the nostalgia with new and improved Nokia phones. The Nokia 6, Nokia 3, Nokia 5, and Nokia 3310 (2017) have been launched so far, but the company is far from being done. More announcements are expected in 2017, and one of them is expected to be a flagship device. Now, a fresh report sheds light on what this smartphone could potentially entail with respect to specifications and design.

MyDrivers reports that the Nokia flagship will sport a metal jacket, but doesn't dive any further into design details apart from that. The smartphone will come in two size variants; will be powered by a Snapdragon 835 SoC - the latest Qualcomm processor also seen on the Samsung Galaxy S8. The smartphone will pack 4GB and 6GB of RAM, and may sport a 23-megapixel sensor, and possibly also the dual camera setup that is seen on many smartphones these days. These sensors won't be Carl Zeiss, the report adds.

The name of the device has not been revealed, but it is expected to launch sometime in June. The smaller variant is expected to sport a price tag ahead of $580 (roughly Rs. 37,200), and the larger variant is tipped to sport a price tag ahead of $650 (roughly Rs. 41,600).

Apart from this phone, the Nokia 7 and Nokia 8 smartphones have also been tipped earlier, and they are both expected to be powered by the yet-to-be-released Snapdragon 660 processor. The Nokia 8 is tipped to sport a dual camera setup, while the Nokia 7 will have a single camera at the rear, all lenses are expected to be outsourced from Carl Zeiss.
