The dual-SIM Nokia Asha 310 that was unveiled earlier last month and as promised by the company, it has now been made available on the company's official Nokia store in India.  The device is priced at Rs. 5,601, but users can also avail it from online retailers like Saholic and Snapdeal for Rs. 5,499. Nokia had announced that the phone will be available in Asia, India, the Middle East, Africa and Brazil starting Q1 2013.

A latest entrant in the company's popular Asha series, the Asha 310 isa full-touch device with a 3-inch scratch proof display. It also sports a 2-megapixel camera, and has a microSD card slot for extra storage, with Nokia offering either a 2GB or 4GB card in the box. The phone supports microSD cards of up to 32 GB capacity.

The Asha 310 is a dual-SIM device featuring 'Easy Swap'. The secondary SIM slot is placed on the side of the phone, allowing users to put the second SIM without the need to turn off the phone.

The phone also comes with a SIM manager app through which users can assign unique profiles for up to five SIM cards and define the SIM card they'd want to use for calling, sending text messages or for using Internet data. The handset is currently available in black and gold colour choices.

The Asha 310 supports Internet connectivity through GPRS/Edge. Other connectivity options include WiFi 802.11b/g, Bluetooth 3.0 with A2DP, Micro-USB 2.0 and USB. Nokia claims that the 1,110 mAh battery on the Asha 310 offers 17 hours talk-time or up to 25 days on standby from a single charge.

The phone comes preloaded with email, Facebook, Twitter and eBuddy apps, in addition to Nokia Maps, which works online and offline. Nokia's also offering 40 free games from EA such as Tetris, Bejeweled, Need for Speed The Run and Fifa 2012.

Nokia first announced the touch phones in the Asha series in the summer of 2011. Other full-touch devices in the Nokia Asha series include 305,306, 308, 309 and 311. All these phones are priced under Rs. 10,000. The Asha 305 was priced at Rs. 5,025 at launch but is now available for Rs. 4,668 and the Asha 306 is available from the official store for Rs. 3,943.

The Asha 308 landed in the Nokia store for Rs. 5,685 alongside the Asha 309 for Rs. 4,821, while the 311 that was priced at Rs. 7,139 at launch is now available for Rs, 6,375.

Nokia recently announced that the popular messaging app WhatsApp will now work with its dual-SIM Asha phones. Until now, this application was only available for the single SIM Nokia Asha phones.
