As smartphone users often face heating issues, HMD Global has apparently made some generous efforts to make its Nokia 8 cool enough among the competition. A teardown video of the flagship Nokia smartphone has surfaced online - detailing its advanced heat eliminating features.

YouTuber JerryRigEverything has released the teardown video of the Nokia 8. The more than seven-minute long video reveals that the Nokia smartphone has a graphite plate - separating the PCB board and the 5.3-inch display and including a compartment for the 3090mAh lithium-ion battery. "It's nice that the battery is in its own little frame this means no amount of prying will damage the display or internal electronics of the phone since they aren't working close to the battery," the vlogger notes.

The mid-plate also has a distinct copper heat-sink pipe under the battery pack, and a thermal paste is available on top of the processor to dissipate the heat generation. All these developments are likely to keep the Nokia 8 apart from any issues that largely impacted the brand image of market leaders like Samsung and Xiaomi in the past.

In addition to the new ways to reduce heat, the teardown shows the well-built structure of the Nokia 8 that has a total of 30 screws -- packing the IP54-certified body. The manufacturer has glued the display panel of the smartphone with a rubberised adhesive to make the smartphone a splash-resistant device. Furthermore, the handset has a set of two 13-megapixel camera sensors that have been fixed with four screws.

Concluding the video, the YouTuber asserts that the screen and battery replacements of the Nokia 8 are easy enough, though it is not considered to be the easiest phone to repair. He also acclaims that the smartphone has most of the features that a flagship Android should include today.

JerryRigEverything, earlier this month, put the Nokia 8 through a list of scratch, burn and bend tests. The smartphone didn't bend during the rigorous test and survived well throughout the series of tortures.

Launched in India back in September with a price tag of Rs. 36,999, the Nokia 8 is competing against options such as the LG G6 and the OnePlus 5. The smartphone is made of an Aluminium 6000 series build that includes a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor underneath.
