Nokia 7 Plus has now purportedly surfaced in a live image - showing its 18:9 aspect ratio-featuring thin-bezel display and pointing towards a large selfie camera. The image also suggests that the new Nokia smartphone is currently being tested in India since the on-screen text shows an Indian username and the word 'Namaste'. Some previous rumours already claimed that HMD Global is preparing the launch of the Nokia 7 Plus at its press conference at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 in Barcelona later this month. An earlier render of the smartphone exhibited a dual rear camera setup and a fingerprint sensor on the back.
The live image, which has been spotted by Chinese tech blog VTech, shows the display of the Nokia 7 Plus that seems to have a 2.5D curved glass protection on top. There is apparently a stock Android experience, likely to be an Android Oreo version. On the top-right side, the handset sports a Nokia logo, while the centre area has an earpiece. Alongside the Nokia logo, there is the selfie camera that is reported to have a 16-megapixel sensor.
If we zoom in the image, it shows some evidence that is pointing towards the testing of the Nokia 7 Plus in India, with an Indian username and the word 'Namaste' visible. HMD Global is quite sharply focusing on its sales in the country, and thus there are chances that the new handset could soon enter the Indian market following its launch at the forthcoming MWC.
The leaked live image of the Nokia 7 Plus is not showing its back panel, but the previously emerged render showed the same with an Android One branding. This suggested that HMD Global may offer the new Nokia smartphone under Google's Android One programme. The Finnish company also recently came in the headlines for reportedly developing the Nokia 1 as one of the first Android Go devices.
Reports claim the Nokia 7 Plus will come with a 6-inch display and sport a dual rear camera setup, backed by Zeiss optics, comprises 12-megapixel and 13-megapixel image sensors. The smartphone is also said to come with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage.
