Nokia 7.1 Plus aka Nokia X7 has now surfaced in some CAD-based renders that suggest its glass back and a dual rear camera setup. The smartphone also has a rear-facing fingerprint sensor. This is in line with the render of the Nokia 7.1 Plus that showed its display notch - similar to the Nokia 6.1 Plus. Separately, an image showing the back panel of the Nokia 7.1 Plus suggests an anodised aluminium back panel as well as Android One branding. The new Nokia-branded smartphone is likely to debut at an event by HMD Global that is taking place in central London on October 4. The same event is also speculated to be the venue for the Nokia 9 unveiling.
The CAD renders, courtesy OnLeaks and MySmartPrice, show that the Nokia 7.1 Plus has thin bezels and a small display notch. There is also a large-enough chin that has a room for the Nokia branding. The back view of the Nokia 7.1 Plus, as per the renders, shows a glass panel that has a glossy finish on top - similar to what we saw on the Nokia 6.1 Plus previously. Further, the handset is found to have a vertically-placed dual rear camera along with an LED flash. There is also a circular fingerprint sensor at the back that sits just above the Nokia logo.
Unlike the glossy back featured on the renders that are notably designed on the basis of early rumours, a leaked image of the Nokia 7.1 Plus that has emerged on Baidu shows an anodised aluminium back. The back also has Google's Android One branding. This is highly expected since HMD already has the Nokia 6.1 Plus, Nokia 6.1, and Nokia 5.1 as its recent Android One models. Moreover, the presence of Android One branding means that the upcoming smartphone could receive regular Android version updates and come with a stock experience.
Folks at OnLeaks and MySmartPrice have also released a video showing the 360-degree view of the Nokia 7.1 Plus. The video essentially combines all the CAD renders of the smartphone.
As a successor to the Nokia 7 Plus, the Nokia 7.1 Plus is rumoured to come with a full-HD+ (1080x2280 pixels) display along with a 19:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is also said to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC as well as include Carl Zeiss optics. Some initial reports even suggested that the handset could come without a display notch and have a 6.9-inch full-HD+ (1080x2160 pixels) display along with an 18:9 aspect ratio.
