Now a new teaser image of the Samsung's much-anticipated Unpacked 5 event has been shared by the South Korean giant, which tips-off the new UI of the Galaxy S5. The teaser image shows the new colour theme and fonts of the new TouchWiz UI, which is not very similar to previous leaks that tipped the Samsung's new TouchWiz UI overhaul.
The teaser image also lists some features, namely: Speed, that might hint about the long-rumoured Snapdragon or Exynos chipset in the smartphone; Outdoor, which we assume is for the upgraded battery capacity in the Galaxy S5; Fun, Style and Social, which point to some new apps in the device; Privacy, points to the upgraded Knox security software expected to be preloaded on the Galaxy S5, and Fitness, which can be expected to point to new health related apps. Samsung Mobile's official Twitter handle said, "#UNPACKED in Barcelona. 24 February, 20:00 CET."
It's worth pointing out that Google was reportedly not very happy with the new Magazine UX, Samsung's new custom interface running on top of the Android OS and was said to be considering abandoning or modifying the current Magazine UX UI in upcoming devices.
Rumoured specifications of the Galaxy S5 include a 5.24-inch AMOLED screen with a QHD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution; two storage variants- 32GB/64GB; two processor variants - Exynos 6 and Snapdragon 805, and a 3200mAh battery. The optics rumoured for the Galaxy S5 include a 16-megapixel rear camera, and a 3.2-megapixel front-facing shooter.
The Galaxy S5 is widely expected to feature the fingerprint scanner which is said to be integrated into the device's display panel.
On Monday, Samsung Galaxy S5 was spotted on AnTuTu benchmarks in two variants boasting different set of specifications.
